About the Sgian Dubh:
Meaning “Black Knife” in Gaelic, the sgian dubh has a rich history—early knives featured dark bog wood handles, and the blade’s name also refers to its concealed nature. Traditionally worn tucked into the stocking during Highland dress, it symbolizes trust and friendship rather than a weapon.

Our company has proudly served the Scottish Clan community for over 43 years, continuing to create heirloom-quality Clan jewelry for generations.
