Introducing our highest quality Sgian Dubh, meticulously crafted by The Sgian Dubh Company in Scotland, making it the pinnacle of excellence in the market today. Each Sgian Dubh comes elegantly presented in its own premium blue presentation box, unmistakably stamped "Made in Scotland."

This exquisite Sgian Dubh features a black handle, available with your choice of lead-free pewter or fine sterling silver Clan crest. With all Clans available, this Sgian Dubh is a testament to your proud Scottish heritage. The handle and sheath are expertly crafted from resin with plated metal fittings, ensuring durability and longevity. While antique versions with sterling silver fittings may fetch over $1,000, our high-end Sgian Dubh offers exceptional quality at an accessible price point.

Measuring 7 1/2” (190 mm) in length and 1 3/8” (35 mm) in width, this Sgian Dubh boasts a stainless steel blade and nickel silver plated fittings. Choose from an imitation glass blue sapphire, emerald green, or purple amethyst glass stone to adorn the top of the Sgian Dubh.

The Clan crest is elegantly surrounded by a detailed belt and buckle design, with your Clan motto inscribed in raised relief lettering, echoing the traditions of ancient times when the chief of the Clan presented the crest to their clansmen as a symbol of loyalty and affiliation.

Please note that each Sgian Dubh is made to order, requiring a few days for creation. With every Clan available, you can proudly showcase your heritage with this exceptional piece.

As a reminder of its origins, the name Sgian Dubh, Gaelic for Black Knife, reflects the knife's dark appearance, stemming from handles carved from black bog wood and blades darkened by age and use. Traditionally worn in the top of the stocking while donning Highland attire, the Sgian Dubh signifies camaraderie and goodwill rather than a weapon.

With over 43 years of experience in the Scottish Clan crest business, we continue to uphold our legacy by crafting Clan jewelry for generations to come.
