Introducing our exquisite Scottish Clan Crest Sgian Dubh, a traditional Scottish black-handled knife adorned with your Clan crest in lead-free pewter or fine sterling silver.

This brand new Sgian Dubh measures 7-1/2” in length by 1-3/8” in width, featuring a stainless steel blade and nickel silver-plated fittings. The top is embellished with an imitation topaz, sapphire blue, or emerald green synthetic stone for added elegance.

The Clan crest is surrounded by a detailed belt and buckle design, with your Clan motto inscribed in raised relief lettering. In ancient times, Clan chiefs presented their crest to their clansmen as a symbol of loyalty and affiliation. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in high detail in sterling silver, with the Clan Crest measuring 11/16" (19.5mm) in diameter.

Please note that while this item is made to order, it typically takes only a few days to complete. With every Clan available, simply add your Clan name in the comment area when placing your order to complete your special request. It's important to note that while this Sgian Dubh is exceptionally crafted, the handle and sheath are made from resin material, and the fittings are plated. As such, it's considered an economy model, offering exceptional value without compromising on quality.

The "Sgian Dubh," Gaelic for Black Knife, likely derives its name from its dark appearance, with early handles often carved from black bog wood. Another theory suggests its name stems from the concealed nature of the knife, traditionally worn openly in the top of the stocking while wearing Highland attire to signify peaceful intent.

Our company has proudly served the Scottish Clan crest business for over forty years, now extending our legacy to craft Clan jewelry for the descendants of our first customers.
