Clan MacLellan

The Clan MacLellan (Gaelic: Clann Mhic Gille Fhaolain) is a historic Lowland clan from Galloway, in the southwest of Scotland. Rising to prominence in the medieval period, the MacLellans became known as loyal warriors and landholders in Kirkcudbrightshire. Their name means “Son of the Servant of St. Fillan”, connecting the clan to early Christian traditions in Scotland.
