Another theory suggests that the name arose from the concealed nature of the weapon; thus, it has become customary to display the Sgian Dubh on top of the stocking when dressed in Highland attire, indicating the wearer's friendly intentions.

It is important to clarify that the Sgian Dubh was never intended to be considered a weapon!

With over 43 years of experience in the Scottish Clan crest industry, our company proudly creates Clan jewellery for the children and grandchildren of our first customers.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0839/6141/3931/files/36_d75bc1a1-e2a7-4b96-89c8-6215688b4c21.jpg?v=1755689026
